The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) endorses the U.S. Selected Practice Recommendations (U.S. SPR). The U.S. SPR provides recommendations for common, yet sometimes complex, management issues in initiating and using contraceptive methods. The U.S. SPR aims to reduce some of the barriers women may face to initiating contraception and using it effectively.
