WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A "minuscule" amount of radioactive iodine has been detected in a milk sample from the U.S. state of Washington as the government monitors for effects of the nuclear crisis in Japan, U.S. regulators said on Wednesday.
The amount detected was "far below levels of public health concern, including for infants and children," the Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency said in a joint statement.
