Expanding Emotional Well-Being Research at NIH – Join Our Webinar on March 17

March 09, 2020
Emmeline Edwards, Ph.D.

As I’ve blogged about in the past, emotional well-being research is a high priority for the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). In April 2018, our Center and the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR), in collaboration with other components of the National Institutes of Health (the National Institute on Aging, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the National Institute of Mental Health), sponsored a roundtable discussion with the following goals: (1) to gain a deeper insight into the existing research on the role of emotional well-being in health; (2) to advance research in this area and create a trans-NIH research program focused on developing, testing, and implementing intervention strategies to promote emotional well-being. The roundtable meeting report outlined our insights and questions for future research.

To gain a deeper insight into the existing research on the role of emotional well-being in health and to learn more about new funding opportunity to facilitate emotional well-being research networks, please join NCCIH, the National Institute on Aging, and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development for a pre-application technical assistance webinar on March 17 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
