NDEP’s Promoting Medication Adherence in Diabetes Resource is Now Available

NDEP’s Promoting Medication Adherence in Diabetes web resource helps health care professionals improve medication-taking behavior in their patients by modifying their approach on an individual and a system level. Featuring handouts and resources that health care professionals can use with their patients, this site also includes videos, presentations, training guides, assessment tools, as well as journal articles related to medication adherence.

GAME PLAN for Preventing Type 2 Diabetes: A Toolkit for Health Care Professionals and Teams

NDEP has updated its popular GAME PLAN for Preventing Type 2 Diabetes: A Toolkit for Health Care Professionals and Teams resource to help health care professionals identify, counsel, and support patients at risk for type 2 diabetes. This online toolkit features prediabetes screening information, strategies for talking to patients about prediabetes, and multiple tools and resources to help patients prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes. 

Joint Statement Outlines Guidance on Self-Management Education, Support

The American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics have released a joint position statement outlining when, how, and what type of Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSME/S) should be delivered to patients.
