Welcome to the Tennessee Department of Health

A recent report by the Tennessee State Health Department shows quick progress in preventing healthcare-associated infections. The latest report by Tennessee has achieved a five-year prevention target set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Action Plan in only three years. The hospitals in Tennessee use CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network, the nation′s premier tool for monitoring infections in healthcare facilities, to track, report, and ultimately prevent healthcare-associated infections.
