Attend SAMHSA's August Advisory Meetings
You're invited to attend SAMHSA's upcoming advisory meetings in August. All meetings are open to the public and can be attended in person or by teleconference.

Meeting of SAMHSA's CSAT National Advisory Council
Wednesday, August 14, 2013 | 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time
The meeting will be held at SAMHSA in the Sugarloaf conference room. The closed session of the meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. The open session is scheduled for 9:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and it will include a report from the CSAT Director, H. Westley Clark, M.D., J.D., M.P.H.; CSAT’s Budget Update; discussions on Preparing the Field of Addictions Treatment for Integrated Care; the Future of SAMHSA; and Traditional Healing Practices within the Array of Behavioral Health. The CSAP National Advisory Council will meet in the Seneca conference room. The meeting will include discussions on the Future of SAMHSA, Prevention in the Context of Health Reform, and SAMHSA's Strategic Initiative on Prevention. Meeting of SAMHSA's CMHS National Advisory Council

The meeting will be held at SAMHSA in the Great Falls conference room and include a closed meeting, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for a grant review of summary statements. The open meeting will run from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it will include a report from CMHS Director Paolo del Vecchio, an update on the Future of SAMHSA, public awareness activities, a report from the field on peer workforce development, and consumer/survivor issues. Joint Meeting of SAMHSA's National Advisory Councils and Committees
Thursday, August 15, 2013 | 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time
SAMHSA's four National Advisory Councils—the SAMHSA National Advisory Council (NAC), the CMHS NAC, the CSAP NAC, and the CSAT NAC—and the two SAMHSA Advisory Committees (the Advisory Committee for Women's Services and the SAMHSA Tribal Technical Advisory Committee) will meet in the SAMHSA lobby-level conference rooms.
The combined meeting will include discussions on the Future of SAMHSA, National Behavioral Health Quality Framework and Barometer, Prevention in Health Care, SAMHSA's Role as a Clinical Leader, and Advisory Members' Views from the Field on the National Dialogue.
