Dear ESHG member,
The ESHG is again organising the European DNA Day Essay contest for highschool students in 2013, in collaboration with the American Society of Human Genetics. More information, also on previous years, can be found at www.dnaday.eu
Deadline for submission is March 15, 2013. Winners will be announced on April 25, DNA Day. This year's question is:
2013 marks the 60th anniversary of the discovery of the double helix of DNA by James Watson and Francis Crick and the 10th anniversary of the first sequencing of the human genome. Choose either of these breakthroughs and explain its broader impact on biotechnology, human health and disease, or our understanding of basic genetics, such as genetic variation or gene expression.
Please help us by reading and judging some of the essays this year. We need at least 30 of you in order to have fair judging.
Judging will be made online between March 15-April 20 and is great fun!
Send us an email to dnaday(at)eshg.org if you would like to join the reviewing team.
Thank you  in advance for your help!
