One Month Left! Submit Your Videos to the Safer Lens Video Contest: Injury Center News

Seeing My World through a Safer Lens Video Contest

One Month Left!
Submit Your Videos to the Safer Lens Video Contest
Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to show the nation how your community, neighborhood, or school is working to prevent injuries and violence – Submit a video in the CDC Injury Center Safer Lens Video Challenge by July 31.  Cash prizes will be awarded!
Public health professionals, students, and members of your community play a crucial role in preventing injuries and violence. Here are just a few ways that you can show how you are impacting injuries and violence in your community:

  • Keeping  teens safe on the road through education and graduated licensing programs
  • Making sure young children stay safe in cars during  child safety seat installation clinics
  • Supporting programs to install smoke alarms in homes throughout your community
  • Educating young people on the importance of having safe, healthy relationships
  • Initiating programs to raise awareness of falls in older adults, and working to prevent them
  • Teaching coaches, athletes and parents to recognize the signs of concussions and encourage safe play
See more injury and violence prevention areas on the Seeing My World through a Safer Lens Challenge Rules page. Rules | Seeing My World through a Safer Lens Video Contest
Be sure to spread the word about the video contest to your community, coworkers, peers, student groups, athletic organizations, and other groups that you think may be interested in participating in this challenge!
Take a look at some videos already submitted in the Submission Gallery. We look forward to seeing your creative videos, which will be displayed on the Injury Center’s web page and highlighted through our social media channels.
