NIAID Clinical Study Seeks Volunteers With Unusually Severe Viral Infections
An NIAID clinical study seeks children and adults thought to have normal immune systems but who have been diagnosed with unusually severe, prolonged, or persistent viral infections (non-HIV). NIAID researchers are investigating factors that may predispose people to severe disease. The study will evaluate the volunteers’ immune systems to determine why these infections develop.
