World Mosquito Day 2020

August 20th is World Mosquito Day, recognizing the historic discovery that female Anopheles mosquitoes transmit malaria.

This year, U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator Dr. Ken Staley highlights the importance of continuing the fight against the world's deadliest creature during the COVID-19 pandemic, and describes how PMI partner countries are adapting their efforts to safely deliver malaria prevention campaigns in this unprecedented time.
