A public health strategy known as screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) has been shown to improve outcomes of alcohol use among women, but few providers make time to implement this important intervention. Could technology offer a solution? This review looks at barriers to using SBIRT andpossible strategies for promoting its use among women of all ages.
