Health Tip: Keep Your Joints Healthier
And help minimize effects of arthritis
Wednesday, November 14, 2012
The CDC offers these suggestions:
- Perform at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise at least five days each week. This can help decrease pain, improve motion and delay disability.
- Lose weight if you're overweight or obese.
- Visit your doctor if you have early signs of arthritis, such as joint pain. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent long-term damage.
- Protect your joints from injury, particularly if you engage in sports, work or other activities that require repetitive motion.
