CDC’s National Report on Exposure to Environmental Chemicals: Updated Tables March 2013
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sent this bulletin at 03/26/2013 04:18 PM EDTCDC’s Division of Laboratory Sciences released new data to the Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, an ongoing biomonitoring assessment of the U.S. population’s exposure to environmental chemicals.

The blood and urine samples reported in both publications were collected from participants in CDC's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), which obtains and releases health-related data from a nationally representative sample in two year cycles.
The Updated Tables, March 2013 provides nationally-representative biomonitoring data from CDC’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) that has become available since the publication of the Fourth Report in 2009.
Since publication of the Fourth Report, 117 chemicals have updated tables and 34 chemicals have been added, for a total of 151 chemicals presented in these Updated Tables.

Revised March 2013 The Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, Updated Tables, March 2013 provides new data since the release of the Fourth Report, 2009. These data include updated tables for 117 chemicals in the Fourth Report, 2009 and tables for 34 new chemicals. Review this publication for the most recent and complete biomonitoring data.
The Updated Tables, March 2013, present data from the 2005-2006, 2007-2008, and 2009-2010 survey periods. The Updated Tables are cumulative and include data reported in earlier updates.

The Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, 2009, (the Fourth Report, 2009) presents data for 212 chemicals. The Fourth Report includes the findings from nationally representative samples for 1999-2004. The blood and urine samples reported in both publications were collected from participants in CDC's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), which obtains and releases health-related data from a nationally representative sample in two year cycles.
