NCCN Webinar: Selection of Therapy for Elderly Patients with Advanced NSCLC
Details
Lung cancer is often diagnosed in the advanced stage where there is a poor prognosis. There are many therapeutic options available for the management of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with different mechanisms of action and side effect profiles. There are also patient-related factors that need to be evaluated prior to initiation of therapy. This is increasingly important in the elderly population due to changes in physical condition, functional status, and presence of comorbidities. Clinicians need to be aware of the patient and treatment-related factors, in addition to the goals of therapy, to optimize a patient’s clinical outcome while minimizing treatment-related toxicity. This webinar will address these issues.
