Join us on Thursday, September 5 from 2 – 5 p.m. ET, as we walk to celebrate the millions of Americans in recovery and recognize the contributions and accomplishments of people in recovery, their loved ones, and allies. We’ll meet at Freedom Plaza (14th St & Pennsylvania Ave, NW) and walk to the Washington Monument in Washington DC. National Recovery Month is an annual observance held every September to promote awareness of the power of recovery from mental health and substance use conditions. Recovery events are celebrated around the nation and the world. Recovery Month is intended to counter stigma and instill hope in the American public that recovery is real and possible.
