National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (NLPPW) takes place October 25–31 during Children’s Health Month. This year’s theme, “Keep Kids Safe From Lead,” focuses on raising awareness and educating communities about preventing childhood lead exposure. NLPPW brings together individuals, organizations, industry, and state, tribal, territorial, and local governments. The CDC, EPA, and HUD have collaborated to provide comprehensive resources that help communities increase awareness, support prevention efforts, and protect children from the harmful effects of lead exposure.
