Healthy volunteers needed for malaria studies
Healthy volunteers are needed for malaria studies. Malaria is a disease that impacts people in many
areas of the world. According to the World Health Organization, a child dies from malaria every two
minutes. A safe and highly effective malaria vaccine is needed to prevent malaria-related deaths.
Researchers at the Laboratory of Malaria Immunology and Vaccinology are seeking healthy volunteers
for future malaria trials and vaccine studies.
You may be able to participate if you:
Are 18 to 50 years old
Reside in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area
Are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
Are interested in enrolling in a future vaccine study or malaria trial
Study visits will take place at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Compensation will be
provided.
