| 2010 Treatment Episode Data Set– Admissions Now Available for Download and Online Analysis The 2010 Treatment Episode Data Set–Admissions (TEDS–A) is now available from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Data Archive (SAMHDA). SAMHDA's new website allows you to download TEDS–A data, conduct online analyses, develop custom Quick Tables, and view Interactive Maps. The following changes have been made to the TEDS–A series:
TEDS–A is collected annually and provides details on individual treatment admissions throughout the United States. Demographic information such as gender, race, ethnicity, education, and employment status, among others, are included in the data. Substances reported in TEDS–A include alcohol, cocaine and crack, marijuana and hashish, heroin, nonprescription methadone, other opiates and synthetics, stimulants, tranquilizers, sedatives, and over-the-counter medications, among others. SAMHDA also maintains and distributes a TEDS–A concatenated file. This file will soon be updated to include the 2010 data. The 2010 TEDS–A report [PDF - 2.9 MB] is available from SAMHSA. |
