In this study, CDC analyzed data from the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System–All Injury Program to examine 20012015 trends in nonfatal assault injuries among youths treated in EDs, by sex and age group, and to assess current rates by sex, age group, mechanism of injury, and disposition.

CDC Study Examines Differences between Male and Female Caregiver Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) and the Effect of Social Support on HRQOL
Several researchers from the CDC published, “Mental Health Differences Between Men and Women Caregivers, BRFSS 2009.” The researchers found that women caregivers were significantly more likely to report mentally and physically unhealthy days than men, yet women were more likely to report higher levels of social support as compared with men.
Population-Based Surveillance of Birth Defects Potentially Related to Zika Virus Infection — 15 States and U.S. Territories, 2016
This report provides the first comprehensive data on the prevalence of birth defects (3.0 per 1,000 live births) potentially related to Zika virus infection in a birth cohort of nearly 1 million births in 2016.
Status of HIV epidemic control among adolescent girls and young women aged 15–24 Years — Seven African countries, 2015–2017In this report progress was assessed toward the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS  2020 targets for adolescent girls and young women in sub-Saharan Africa using data from recent Population-based HIV Impact Assessment surveys in seven countries.

This report summarizes data from CDC’s National Violent Death Reporting System regarding violent deaths from 18 U.S. states for 2014. Results are reported by sex, age group, race/ethnicity, marital status, location of injury, method of injury, circumstances of injury, and other selected characteristics.
Assisted Reproductive Technology Surveillance — United States, 2015
This report provides state-specific information for the United States (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico) on ART procedures performed in 2015 and compares birth outcomes that occurred in 2015 (resulting from ART procedures performed in 2014 and 2015) with outcomes for all infants born in the United States in 2015.
