Wednesday Health.mil News Round-Up: Sculpting Molds Recovery for Army Truck Driver; Concussion Treatment Training at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth; TRICARE Home Delivery to begin at NMCSD

An Army truck driver injured in Afghanistan has discovered an unexpected way to heal – art therapy.

Professional athletes and service members have something in common that might not be immediately obvious: they are both at risk for injuries that lead to concussions, which is a form of mild traumatic brain injury. Navy Medicine is among those taking steps to advance and standardize care of service members who may be suffering from a concussion.

Important changes within the Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Pharmacy Department are on the way for staff and beneficiaries beginning in January 2015. NMCSD will now be transitioning to the TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery program managed by Express Scripts.
