Many teens may be better known for fighting authority, however they’re now being asked to help Fight the Enemy. Not the enemy in trenches across a battlefield, but the enemy known as tobacco.

About one hundred independent duty corpsmen and medical providers from around the fleet gathered at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Nov. 13, for the biannual Independent Duty Corpsman Symposium.

Thirteen Naval Medical Center Portsmouth's obstetricians and gynecologists were recognized for excellence in their field at the annual Armed Forces District meeting of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists from Nov. 9-12 in Cincinnati.

Art therapy has evolved in the last several years as treatment to help service members express what they want to “symbolize about themselves” after suffering the invisible wounds of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a Defense Department art therapist said yesterday.
