In the U.S. alone, more than 29 million people have diabetes, and 86 million adults have prediabetes. Health professionals and people living with diabetes must be aware – insulin pens and other injectable medications are meant for one person and should NEVER be shared. Reusing insulin pens for more than one person can spread infections.
